How it works

1. Activate Plaguemaw Beast by tapping it and sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies, Plaguemaw Beast triggers, untapping itself.
3. Resolve the Plaguemaw Beast ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak.
4. Scurry Oak triggers, creating a 1/1 Squirrel creature token.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine starts by outfitting Plaguemaw Beast with Thornbite Staff, granting the Beast a way to untap whenever any creature bites the dust. By tapping Plaguemaw Beast to sacrifice the 1/1 Squirrel token created by Scurry Oak, you trigger the Staff to untap the Beast while simultaneously using its ability to proliferate and place a +1/+1 counter back onto Scurry Oak. That counter immediately triggers Scurry Oak to churn out a fresh replacement Squirrel, feeding right back into the sacrifice loop.
