How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another nontoken nonartifact creature, adding one mana of any color.
2. When the creature dies, Missy's first ability and Skirk Alarmist trigger.
3. Resolve the Missy ability, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield face down as a 2/2 Cyberman artifact creature.
4. Resolve the Skirk Alarmist trigger, untapping it.
5. Activate Skirk Alarmist by tapping it, turning the creature face up.
6. Repeat.

This intricate loop transforms the graveyard into an engine by turning every casualty into a recurring resource. When you sacrifice a creature to Phyrexian Altar, Missy steps in to rescue it from the graveyard, slipping it back onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 Cyberman artifact creature. Skirk Alarmist then uses its tap ability to flip that same creature back face up, while Phyrexian Altar provides the mana needed to keep the cycle going—though Skirk Alarmist itself effortlessly untaps and re-prepares for the next iteration. Meanwhile, Thornbite Staff can optionally attach itself to Skirk Alarmist if it's a Shaman, providing a potent pinging utility and a reflexive untap trigger whenever creatures perish.
