How it works

1. Activate Ghired by tapping it, creating a token copy of any creature token you control that entered the battlefield this turn.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature token, adding one mana of any color.
3. When the token dies, Ghired triggers, untapping itself.
4. Repeat.

This clever engine transforms Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds into a self-contained token-copying powerhouse by granting him a tap ability that mirrors any creature token you welcomed to the battlefield that turn. To fuel this loop, Phyrexian Altar steps in to sacrifice that newly minted token for any color of mana, which conveniently triggers Thornbite Staff's second ability to untap the equipped creature when anything bites the dust. Because Ghired is a Shaman, Thornbite Staff can easily find its way onto him automatically, turning every sacrifice back into a fresh tap for Ghired. You'll generate infinite colored mana, endless creature entry and death triggers, and an infinite parade of token copies as long as you have an initial token to get the ball rolling.
