How it works

1. Activate the creature by tapping it, dealing damage to an opponent's creature.
2. The opponent's creature dies due to deathtouch, triggering the second ability granted by Thornbite Staff, untapping your creature.
3. Repeat until all opponents' creatures die.
4. Repeat each time a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

This insidious setup transforms any willing creature into a lethal sniper by uniting Lightning Prowess and Aspect of Gorgon under the mechanical engine of Thornbite Staff. Once the staff is equipped, tapping the enchanted creature to snipe an opponent's creature immediately triggers deathtouch destruction, which in turn trips the staff's second ability to untap the shooter. Because the resulting death satisfies the untap condition instantly, you can repeat this ping-and-untap loop to effortlessly wipe out the entire opposing board—and keep the lock going indefinitely whenever new threats dare to enter the battlefield.
