How it works

1. Activate the creature by tapping it, dealing damage to an opponent's creature.
2. The opponent's creature dies due to deathtouch, triggering the second ability granted by Thornbite Staff, untapping your creature.
3. Repeat until all opponents' creatures die.
4. Repeat each time a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

This elegant setup turns any creature into an automated exterminator by combining Hermetic Study with the lethal touch granted by Quietus Spike. Once equipped with Thornbite Staff, your pinging creature gains a built-in untap trigger every time a victim falls to its deathtouch damage. Because the Staff untaps the creature instantly upon each death, you can chain the damage to wipe out every creature your opponents control, and keep the lockdown going whenever a new threat dares enter the battlefield.
