How it works

1. Activate the legendary creature with Splinter Twin and Thornbite Staff attached by tapping it, creating a token copy of it with haste.
2. Put the token legendary creature into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. When the creature token dies, the legendary creature triggers, untapping itself.
4. Repeat.

By enchanting a legendary creature with Splinter Twin, you grant it the ability to churn out token copies of itself. The magic truly ignites once you also equip it with Thornbite Staff, which grants a ping ability and, crucially, a passive trigger that untaps the creature whenever *any* creature dies. When you tap the legend to make a token, the legend rule instantly sends that token copy to the graveyard, fulfilling the Staff's death condition and untapping the original in one fell swoop. This creates a self-sustaining loop of endless creature tokens, entering-the-battlefield triggers, and deaths ready to overwhelm your opponents in formats from Modern to Commander.
