How it works

1. Activate Xu-Ifit by tapping it, returning a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
2. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing the creature returned in step 1.
3. When the creature dies, Xu-Ifit triggers, untapping itself.
4. Repeat.

This loop transforms Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist into an endless engine of resurrection by pairing its reanimation ability with the sacrifice outlet provided by Thermopod. Because Xu-Ifit itself is a Shaman, the clever inclusion of Thornbite Staff is what truly completes the cycle: as you sacrifice the reanimated creature to Thermopod for red mana, Thornbite Staff’s triggered ability sees the death and immediately untaps Xu-Ifit, readying it to tap again and repeat the process.
