How it works

1. Cast Belonging by paying 5.
2. When Belonging enters, it triggers, creating three 1/1 Shapeshifter creature tokens with changeling.
3. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Belonging.
4. When Belonging dies, Rat King triggers, untapping Rat King.
5. Activate Rat King by tapping it and sacrificing the Shapeshifters.
6. When the Shapeshifters die, Rat King triggers three times, untapping Rat King.
7. Resolve the Rat King ability from step 5, returning Belonging from your graveyard to the battlefield.
8. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop revolves around Belonging, which provides an immediate influx of Shapeshifter tokens the moment it enters the battlefield thanks to its changeling ability. You feed those tokens and Belonging itself to Thermopod to generate red mana while sending the cards straight to your graveyard. Rat King, Verminister (equipped with Thornbite Staff, which automatically attaches itself upon a Shaman entering) then uses its tapped ability to sacrifice three Rats and pull Belonging right back out of the graveyard. Every creature death neatly untaps Rat King via the Staff's triggered ability, allowing you to repeat this engine endlessly for infinite mana, sacrifice triggers, and enter-the-battlefield effects.
