How it works

1. Activate Ghired by tapping it, creating a token copy of any creature token you control that entered the battlefield this turn.
2. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the creature token.
3. When the token dies, Ghired triggers, untapping itself.
4. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the sacrificed creature's power.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds into a relentless mill engine by leveraging its ability to clone your newly arrived tokens on demand. Once you start the cycle, Altar of Dementia feeds the copied token to the graveyard to mill your opponent based on its power. This death instantly triggers Thornbite Staff—which is equipped to Ghired—to untap him so he can immediately tap and repeat the process.
