How it works
Cast Sin either from your hand or command zone by paying 5 plus commander tax if applicable.
As Sin enters, remove all counters from all artifacts, enchantments and creatures you control, putting twice that many +1/+1 counters on Sin.
Activate Arbor Adherent by tapping it, adding an amount of or equal to Sin's toughness.
Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Sin.
Choose to return Sin to the command zone from your graveyard.
When Sin dies, it and Arbor Adherent trigger.
Resolve the Sin trigger, putting its counters on Arbor Adherent.
Resolve the Arbor Adherent trigger, untapping it.
Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
Repeat.
This potent loop relies on Sin, Unending Cataclysm entering the battlefield repeatedly to continuously grow its stats and fuel a massive engine. By utilizing Altar of Dementia, you sacrifice Sin to mill your opponents while triggering its death ability, which sends the colossal cataclysm back to the command zone and places its accumulated counters directly onto Arbor Adherent. This sudden surge of toughness empowers Arbor Adherent's mana-generating tap ability to easily cover the commander tax needed to recast Sin. Meanwhile, the presence of Thornbite Staff quietly sits ready to capitalize on the unending stream of creature deaths and entries, rounding out a loop that generates infinite mana, sacrifices, and mills out the entire table.
