How it works

1. Activate Sidisi by tapping it and sacrificing the creature with mana value 0.
2. When the creature dies, Sidisi triggers, untapping Sidisi.
3. Resolve the Sidisi ability, returning the creature that creates creature token(s) on death from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing the creature.
5. When the creature dies, it and Sidisi trigger.
6. Resolve the Sidisi trigger, untapping it.
7. Resolve the creature's trigger, creating at least one creature token.
8. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop turns graveyard recursion into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the interaction between Sidisi, Regent of the Mire and Thornbite Staff. As you sacrifice creatures to fuel Umbral Collar Zealot's surveil ability—or sacrifice them directly to Sidisi, Regent of the Mire's activated ability—every death triggers Thornbite Staff to untap Sidisi, Regent of the Mire, keeping the chain alive. By stepping your mana values up and down, you can continuously return and sacrifice your key pieces while cycling through your deck, generating an endless stream of triggers for your enter-the-battlefield, leave-the-battlefield, and death effects.
