How it works

  1. Cast Time Walk by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  2. Cast Possessed Skaab by paying its mana cost.
  3. When Possessed Skaab enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Time Walk from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Move to your next turn.
  5. Activate Dour Port-Mage by paying 1U mana and tapping it, returning Possessed Skaab from the battlefield to your hand.
  6. Dour Port-Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  7. Repeat.

This vintage loop anchors itself around the relentless recursion enabled by Possessed Skaab, which brings back Time Walk from your graveyard straight to your hand every single time it enters the battlefield. To reset this engine, you leverage the activated ability of Dour Port-Mage to bounce the Skaab back to your hand for cheap, while its passive triggered ability rewards your board state by letting you draw a card whenever creatures leave the battlefield without dying. Cast Time Walk to endlessly seize extra turns, effectively locking your opponent out of the game as you loop your spells forever.
