How it works

  1. Cast Time Warp by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  2. Cast Ephemerate by paying W mana, blinking Possessed Skaab and exiling Ephemerate.
  3. When Possessed Skaab enters, it triggers, returning Time Warp from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Move to your next turn. At the beginning of your upkeep, Ephemerate's rebound ability triggers, causing you to cast it from exile without paying its mana cost.
  5. Resolve Ephemerate, blinking Possessed Skaab.
  6. When Possessed Skaab enters, it triggers, returning Ephemerate from your graveyard to your hand.
  7. Repeat.

This clever recursion loop chains extra turns together by continuously recycling your spells from the graveyard. You start by casting Time Warp to secure an additional turn, then deploy Ephemerate to exile and return Possessed Skaab to the battlefield. The Skaab's enter-the-battlefield trigger grabs Time Warp right back out of your graveyard, while Ephemerate exiles itself due to rebound so you can cast it for free at the start of your next upkeep. Once the rebound copy resolves and blinks Possessed Skaab yet again, its trigger retrieves Ephemerate itself, leaving you ready to repeat the entire sequence indefinitely for infinite turns.
