How it works

1. Activate the creature that has Mortarpod and Cartouche of Solidarity attached by sacrificing it.
2. When the creature dies, Cass triggers, returning Cartouche of Solidarity from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to another creature, and then attaching Mortarpod to the same creature.
3. When Cartouche of Solidarity enters, it triggers, creating a 1/1 Human Warrior creature token.
4. Resolve the ability from step 1, dealing 1 damage to any target.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns a simple sacrifice mechanism into an infinite engine by using Cass, Hand of Vengeance as the linchpin that recycles your board state whenever a creature falls. When you sacrifice your equipped and enchanted creature using the ability granted by Mortarpod, Cass triggers because the dying creature was both enchanted and equipped, allowing you to instantly loop both the equipment and the aura back onto a new target. Meanwhile, the entry of Cartouche of Solidarity triggers its own ability to continuously generate fresh 1/1 white Warrior creature tokens for you to sacrifice, ensuring you never run out of fodder. The result is a relentless chain of damage and triggers that can overwhelm your opponents in formats like Commander and Legacy.
