How it works

1. Activate Thranduil using Immaculate Magistrate's ability by tapping it, putting a +1/+1 counter on Thranduil for each Elf you control.
2. Activate Thranduil using Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping it.
3. Repeat.

This crafty combination turns Thranduil, the Elvenking into an absolute powerhouse by leveraging his ability to inherit activated powers from your graveyard. With Devoted Druid sitting in the graveyard, Thranduil gains the crucial ability to untap himself at the cost of a -1/-1 counter, while Immaculate Magistrate's presence in the graveyard lets Thranduil tap to pile up +1/+1 counters on creatures based on your total Elf count. Because those positive counters instantly cancel out the negative ones from Devoted Druid's untap ability, you can cycle this loop indefinitely. The result is an endless fountain of green mana and infinitely large creatures ready to overwhelm the table.
