How it works

1. Activate Selvala by paying and tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing Selvala and Slimefoot and Squee, adding CCCC.
3. Activate Slimefoot and Squee by paying 1 and sacrificing a Saproling, returning it and Selvala from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. When Slimefoot and Squee enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
5. Repeat.

This engine loops Slimefoot and Squee alongside Selvala, Heart of the Wilds by cycling them through the graveyard and back using Ashnod's Altar for fuel. With Hammer of Purphoros granting your creatures haste, Slimefoot and Squee can immediately use its own activated ability—sacrificing the Saproling token it creates upon entering—to return both itself and Selvala straight to the battlefield. Meanwhile, Ashnod's Altar conveniently provides the colorless mana needed to fund this recursion loop while simultaneously clearing the board for Selvala to be re-summoned fresh.
