How it works
- Activate Selvala by paying and tapping it, adding at least 1.
- Activate Phantom Train twice by sacrificing Selvala and Slimefoot and Squee.
- Activate Slimefoot and Squee by paying 1 and sacrificing a Saproling, returning it and Selvala from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- When Slimefoot and Squee enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
- Repeat.
This clever loop centers on the recursion engine of Slimefoot and Squee, which uses its sorcery-speed ability to pull itself and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds straight out of the graveyard and back onto the battlefield. To fuel this resurrection, Selvala taps for a surge of colored mana based on the greatest power among creatures you control, while Concordant Crossroads ensures everything can act immediately without waiting around for summoning sickness. Meanwhile, Phantom Train serves as the necessary sacrifice outlet to bin your legends, and its ability pumps it up with +1/+1 counters each time you feed it. Every iteration generates fresh Saproling tokens off of Slimefoot and Squee's entry, netting you endless mana, death triggers, and counters to fuel the loop indefinitely.
