Selvala, Heart of the Wilds + Slimefoot and Squee + Mass Hysteria + Phantom Train
How it works
- Activate Selvala by paying and tapping it, adding at least 1.
- Activate Phantom Train twice by sacrificing Selvala and Slimefoot and Squee.
- Activate Slimefoot and Squee by paying 1 and sacrificing a Saproling, returning it and Selvala from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- When Slimefoot and Squee enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
- Repeat.
This engine relies on recycling your graveyard using Slimefoot and Squee's ability, which lets you pay {1}{B}{R}{G} and sacrifice a Saproling to pull both Slimefoot and Squee and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds straight back to the battlefield. Mass Hysteria ensures that everything is ready to act immediately without waiting around for summoning sickness, while Phantom Train provides a convenient outlet to sacrifice your legendary creatures to the graveyard in the first place. Once they are back in play, Slimefoot and Squee's entry triggers a brand new 1/1 green Saproling creature token to fuel the next activation. This freshly generated token—alongside Selvala, Heart of the Wilds tapping for a massive influx of colored mana—creates a continuous loop that yields infinite sacrifice triggers, mana, and permanent growth.
