How it works

1. Activate Grim Poppet by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Sakashima of a Thousand Faces.
2. Hapatra triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Sakashima of a Thousand Faces by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Grim Poppet.
4. Hapatra triggers, creating a creature token.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine turns the mutual manipulation of -1/-1 counters into an endless supply of green serpents, perfectly sustained by Sakashima of a Thousand Faces bypassing the legend rule to copy a second Grim Poppet. With two copies of Grim Poppet on the board, you can endlessly ping back and forth between them by removing and redistributing their counters. Every single time a counter is placed in this loop, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons triggers to flood your battlefield with 1/1 deathtouch tokens.
