How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the nontoken creature, adding one mana of any color.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This lovely loop relies on Phyrexian Altar to turn your creatures into raw mana, feeding the very cycle that consumes them. Mortuary catches each creature as it falls and dutifully places it right back on top of your library, ensuring it never truly stays gone. Meanwhile, Vivien, Monsters' Advocate provides the crucial vantage point to look at that top card at any time and cast it directly from your library, turning the Altar's mana into the exact cost needed to replay your fallen hero over and over again.
