How it works
Cast Ghalta by paying 5.
When Ghalta enters the battlefield, it, Cadric and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning nothing to your hand from the battlefield.
Resolve the Ghalta trigger, putting nothing onto the battlefield from your hand.
Resolve the Cadric trigger from step 2, causing you to pay 1 to create a token copy of Ghalta with haste.
When the Ghalta token enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning the nontoken Ghalta to your hand from the battlefield.
Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Ghalta token, adding 1.
Resolve the Ghalta token's trigger, putting Ghalta onto the battlefield from your hand.
Repeat from step 2.
This loop hinges on a brilliant interplay between Cloudstone Curio's permanent-bouncing trigger and Cadric, Soul Kindler's ability to duplicate legendary creatures without the legend rule getting in the way. When Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant enters the battlefield, Cadric creates a token copy that triggers Cloudstone Curio, allowing you to bounce the original nontoken Ghalta right back to your hand. Meanwhile, Phyrexian Altar is waiting in the wings to feed on your creatures, letting you sacrifice the Ghalta token for the mana needed to pay for Cadric's replication fee. By continuously looping Ghalta between your hand and the battlefield, you generate an endless stream of sacrifice, death, and entry triggers.
