How it works

1. Cast Ghalta by paying 5.
2. When Ghalta enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
3. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning Clone to your hand if its on the battlefield, or returning nothing to your hand otherwise.
4. Resolve the Ghalta trigger, putting Clone onto the battlefield as a copy of Ghalta from your hand.
5. When Clone enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
6. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning Ghalta to your hand from the battlefield.
7. Resolve the Clone trigger, putting Ghalta onto the battlefield from your hand.
8. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop relies on the constant ping-ponging of massive threats to flood the board with infinite creature enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers. As Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant hits the board, its triggered ability drops Clone from your hand, which enters as a copy of Ghalta; simultaneously, Cloudstone Curio watches the newcomer arrive and bounces the original Ghalta back to your hand. When Clone enters as a copy of Ghalta, its own copy of the triggered ability fires off to redeposit that returned Ghalta right back onto the battlefield, triggering the Curio once more to bounce the Clone copy. Mirror Gallery ensures that the legendary nature of these Colossi never bogs down the loop, letting you seamlessly swap back and forth between Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant and Clone to repeat the cycle indefinitely.
