How it works

  1. Activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least 4U mana.
  2. Cast Great Whale by paying 5U manaU mana plus an additional 2 for its offspring cost.
  3. When Great Whale enters the battlefield, it triggers twice and Cloudstone Curio triggers once.
  4. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning nothing to your hand.
  5. Resolve the first Great Whale trigger, untapping up to seven lands.
  6. Holding priority, activate up to seven lands by tapping them, adding at least 4U mana.
  7. Resolve the second Great Whale trigger, creating a token copy of it that is 1/1.
  8. When the Great Whale token enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
  9. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning the nontoken Great Whale from the battlefield to your hand.
  10. Resolve the Great Whale token's trigger, untapping up to seven lands.
  11. Repeat.

This delightful loop lets you squeeze infinite mana and a boundless army of aquatic titans out of your lands. By casting Great Whale with the offspring ability granted by Zinnia, Valley's Voice, you send two massive enter-the-battlefield triggers onto the stack alongside Cloudstone Curio's watchful eye. As the triggers resolve, Cloudstone Curio lets you bounce the original nontoken Great Whale back to your hand while the token stays behind to untap your lands all over again. You can then replay the original Great Whale to restart the cycle, chaining off your lands to generate infinite mana, a massive swarm of creatures, and an ever-growing Zinnia, Valley's Voice.
