How it works

1. Cast Altered Ego by paying 2. Choose to have it enter as a copy of Anticausal Vestige.
2. When Altered Ego enters, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Anticausal Vestige from the battlefield to your hand.
3. When Anticausal Vestige leaves the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to draw a card and and put Anticausal Vestige from your hand onto the battlefield.
4. When Anticausal Vestige enters, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Altered Ego from the battlefield to your hand.
5. When Altered Ego leaves the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to draw a card and put Altered Ego from your hand onto the battlefield as a copy of Anticausal Vestige.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop relies on a clever bit of clone-copy interaction: by using Altered Ego to enter as a copy of Anticausal Vestige, you set up a bouncing dance fueled by Cloudstone Curio's passive trigger. Whenever either creature enters the battlefield, the Curio forces you to return the other to your hand, which immediately triggers the leaving-the-battlefield ability of the card just sent away. That triggered ability lets you drop that same card right back onto the battlefield, creating a perpetual motion machine that lets you repeatedly cycle the two permanents. Because each iteration leaves and enters the battlefield anew, you get to draw your entire deck while generating infinite leaves-the-battlefield and enters-the-battlefield triggers!
