How it works

1. Cast Vesuvan Doppelganger by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter as a copy of Anticausal Vestige.
2. When Vesuvan Doppelganger enters, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Anticausal Vestige from the battlefield to your hand.
3. When Anticausal Vestige leaves the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to draw a card and and put Anticausal Vestige from your hand onto the battlefield.
4. When Anticausal Vestige enters, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Vesuvan Doppelganger from the battlefield to your hand.
5. When Vesuvan Doppelganger leaves the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to draw a card and put Vesuvan Doppelganger from your hand onto the battlefield as a copy of Anticausal Vestige.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop hinges on Vesuvan Doppelganger entering the battlefield as a copy of Anticausal Vestige, allowing it to masquerade as the creature while retaining its own identity when leaving play. As they bounce back and forth between the battlefield and your hand, Cloudstone Curio orchestrates the hand-off by continuously returning whichever permanent just entered, while the cascading departure triggers of Anticausal Vestige keep sliding cards into your hand and pulling permanents onto the board. Because both pieces double as each other's trigger and target, this dance generates infinite draw triggers, near-infinite creature enters-the-battlefield effects, and a towering storm count without ever running out of fuel.
