How it works

  1. Cast Songs of the Damned by paying B mana, adding B mana for each creature card in your graveyard.
  2. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  3. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  4. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying EE, sacrificing Ardent Elementalist, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1B mana.
  6. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
  7. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying an amount of E equal to Ardent Elementalist's mana value, sacrificing the creature you returned in step 4, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Ardent Elementalist from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  8. When Ardent Elementalist enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Songs of the Damned from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Repeat.
