How it works
Cast Overlord of the Hauntwoods by paying 3.
When Overlord of the Hauntwoods enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating a tapped Everywhere land token.
When the Everywhere token enters the battlefield, Tiller Engine and Retreat to Coralhelm trigger.
Reoslve the Tiller Engine trigger, untapping the Everywhere token.
Resolve the Retreat to Coralhelm trigger, untapping Romana II.
Activate the Everywhere token by tapping it, adding 1.
Activate Romana II by paying 1 and tapping it, creating a tapped copy of the Everywhere token.
Repeat from step 3.
This ingenious loop transforms the delayed gratification of Overlord of the Hauntwoods into an engine of endless multiplication, weaponized by the precise triggers of Tiller Engine and Retreat to Coralhelm. When Overlord of the Hauntwoods enters the battlefield to spawn our first Everywhere land token, Tiller Engine immediately untaps it so it can tap for mana, while Retreat to Coralhelm untaps Romana II in tandem. This frees Romana II to use her activated ability—fueled by the mana from the Everywhere token—to copy that very same Everywhere token, and because each newly spawned token is a land entering the battlefield, the entire sequence feeds back into itself.
