How it works

1. Activate Scaled Herbalist by tapping it, putting a land card from your hand onto the battlefield.
2. When the land enters the battlefield, Retreat to Coralhelm and Omnath's second ability triggers.
3. Resolve the Retreat to Coralhelm trigger, untapping Scaled Herbalist.
4. Resolve the Omnath trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on an Elemental you control, and then causing you to reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card and put it into your hand due to Abundance.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a simple land drop into an engine that dumps your entire deck's lands straight onto the battlefield. It all starts when Scaled Herbalist taps to drop a land, which triggers both Retreat to Coralhelm and Omnath, Locus of the Roil. Retreat to Coralhelm untaps the Herbalist so it's ready to go again, while Omnath's landfall trigger pushes you toward eight lands to unlock its card-drawing bonus—though Abundance steps in right there to let you bypass normal draws and guarantee you find a land every single time.
