How it works

1. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Saproling, adding 1.
3. When the Saproling dies, Death's Presence triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Ghave.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop transforms Ghave, Guru of Spores into a self-sustaining engine by cycling resources between counters and tokens. You use Ghave's first ability, fueled by Phyrexian Altar's mana when you sacrifice the resulting Saproling, to continuously trigger Death's Presence. Because Death's Presence watches your creatures die and replaces them with a wave of returning +1/+1 counters based on power, Ghave's supply is instantly replenished, allowing you to repeat the cycle indefinitely for infinite entries, exits, and sacrifices.
