How it works

1. Spend 2 and tap to activate Isochron Scepter, casting Songs of the Damned and triggering Onyx Talisman.
2. Pay 3 for the Onyx Talisman trigger, untapping Isochron Scepter.
3. Allow Songs of the Damned to resolve, adding at least 6 .
4. Repeat for infinite .

This classic storm engine centers around Isochron Scepter imprinted with Songs of the Damned, allowing you to repeatedly tap the artifact to cast the instant without paying its mana cost. Each time you cast that black spell, Onyx Talisman triggers to let you pay three mana to untap the Scepter. As long as your graveyard is stocked with at least six creature cards, each iteration of Songs of the Damned generates more than enough black mana to fuel the Talisman's untap cost and net an expanding surplus.
