How it works

1. Activate Elite Arcanist's ability by paying 1 and tapping it, casting a copy of Songs of the Damned without paying its mana cost.
2. Resolve Songs of the Damned, adding at least 2.
3. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying 1, untapping Elite Arcanist.
4. Repeat.
5. If you have three or more creature cards in your graveyard, this combo nets infinite mana.

This brilliant loop centers on Elite Arcanist, who enters the battlefield holding an exiled copy of Songs of the Damned ready to be cast on command. Because Mycosynth Lattice turns every permanent on the battlefield into an artifact, Freed from the Real can enchant Elite Arcanist (since it is no longer restricted to just non-artifact creatures), granting it the blue-mana untap capability it needs to reset. Once you have at least three creature cards in your graveyard, activating the arcanist to cast Songs of the Damned yields more mana than it costs to untap her with Freed from the Real, fueling an infinite loop that generates boundless colored mana, storm count, and magecraft triggers.
