How it works

1. Activate Leyline of Abundance by paying 6, putting four +1/+1 counters on each creature you control due to Hardened Scales and Primal Vigor.
2. Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
3. Leyline of Abundance triggers, adding .
4. Activate Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping Devoted Druid.
5. Repeat from step 2 three additional times.
6. Repeat from step 1.

This explosive combination turns Devoted Druid into an unstoppable engine by leveraging Leyline of Abundance, Hardened Scales, and Primal Vigor to permanently outpace its own self-destruction. While tapping the Druid for green mana triggers the Leyline for an extra green, its second ability lets you untap it by putting a -1/-1 counter on it—which would normally kill the creature. However, investing into Leyline of Abundance's expensive mana ability places +1/+1 counters on your creatures, a process powerfully amplified by both Hardened Scales and Primal Vigor to completely neutralize those -1/-1 counters while growing your board infinitely.
