How it works

1. Activate Cryptic Trilobite's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding CC.
2. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from Cryptic Trilobite, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
3. Activate Ghave's second ability by paying 1 and sacrificing the Saproling token, putting two +1/+1 counters on Cryptic Trilobite.
4. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in counter-conversion, turning a single mana and a handful of resources into an endless engine of creation and sacrifice. Cryptic Trilobite fuels the machine by cracking its own counters for generic mana, while Ghave, Guru of Spores leverages that exact mana and those very counters to pump out Saproling tokens. The real magic, however, lies in Hardened Scales: because every counter put back onto Cryptic Trilobite generates a surplus, the loop actually *grows* in power with each iteration, netting extra counters along the way. This allows you to infinitely sacrifice tokens, trigger entering-and-leaving-the-battlefield effects, and generate endless death triggers at will.
