How it works

1. Activate Benthic Biomancer by paying 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Benthic Biomancer triggers, causing you to loot.
3. Shabraz triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and put a +1/+1 counter on Shabraz.
4. Benthic Biomancer triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop turns a simple adaptation into an endless cascade of synergy, starting when you activate Benthic Biomancer to place its initial +1/+1 counter. That counter triggers the Merfolk's looting ability to draw and discard a card, which in turn causes Shabraz, the Skyshark to grant you life and bulk itself up with its own +1/+1 counter. Because you gained life, Sunbond steps in to translate that life gain into fresh +1/+1 counters placed back onto Shabraz, creating a self-sustaining cycle that generates near-infinite stats, lifegain, and card filtering.
