How it works

1. Activate Saffi by sacrificing it, targeting Prowling Geistcatcher.
2. When Saffi dies, Prowling Geistcatcher's first ability triggers, exiling Saffi from your graveyard.
3. Resolve the Saffi ability.
4. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Prowling Geistcatcher.
5. When Prowling Geistcatcher dies, its second ability and Saffi trigger.
6. Resolve the Saffi trigger, returning Prowling Geistcatcher from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Resolve the Prowling Geistcatcher trigger, returning Saffi from exile to the battlefield.
8. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
9. Repeat.

This elegant looping engine turns a tragic cycle of sacrifices into an endlessly repeating stage. By utilizing Saffi Eriksdotter's ability to save a target creature from the graveyard, you target Prowling Geistcatcher, whose own presence ensures that Saffi is swiftly tucked away into exile instead of staying put when she dies. When you then feed Prowling Geistcatcher to Carrion Feeder, both Saffi's delayed trigger and the Geistcatcher's leave-the-battlefield trigger fire simultaneously, allowing Saffi to resurrect Prowling Geistcatcher while the Geistcatcher's return brings Saffi safely back to hand. The beauty of the system lies in Prowling Geistcatcher's passive replacement effects: it safely catches your sacrificed pieces in exile, only to spit them right back onto the battlefield whenever it leaves, allowing Carrion Feeder to happily grow larger with infinite +1/+1 counters while generating endless sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield, and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
