How it works

1. Activate Honor-Worn Shaku's second ability by tapping Junji, untapping Honor-Worn Shaku.
2. Activate Honor-Worn Shaku's first ability by tapping it, adding C.
3. Activate Honor-Worn Shaku's second ability by tapping Saffi, untapping Honor-Worn Shaku.
4. Activate Honor-Worn Shaku's first ability by tapping it, adding C.
5. Activate Saffi by sacrificing it, targeting Junji.
6. Activate Ayli's first ability by paying 1 and sacrificing Junji.
7. Junji dies, triggering itself and Saffi.
8. Resolve the Saffi trigger, returning Junji from your graveyard to the battlefield.
9. Resolve the Junji trigger, returning Saffi from your graveyard to the battlefield and causing you to lose 2 life.
10. Resolve the Ayli ability from step 3, causing you to gain five life.
11. Repeat.

This intricate loop relies on Saffi Eriksdotter's ability to constantly rescue Junji, the Midnight Sky from the grave whenever Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim sacrifices the Dragon for life. Because Junji's death trigger can itself recur Saffi back to the battlefield, the two legends form a self-sustaining sacrifice engine. Meanwhile, Honor-Worn Shaku acts as the crucial mana engine, tapping both legendary creatures to repeatedly untap itself and generate infinite colorless mana to sustain the loop.
