How it works

1. Activate a basic Forest and Plains by tapping them, adding .
2. Activate Earthcraft twice by tapping Lurrus and Saffi, untapping the basic Forest and Plains.
3. Activate Saffi by sacrificing it, targeting Lurrus.
4. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Lurrus.
5. When Lurrus dies, Saffi triggers, returning Lurrus from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Lurrus's power.
7. Cast Saffi from your graveyard by paying .
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns graveyard recursion into a game-winning mill engine by utilizing Earthcraft to easily generate the mana needed to recast Saffi Eriksdotter. With Lurrus of the Dream-Den allowing you to cast low-mana permanents straight from your graveyard, sacrificing Saffi to save Lurrus sets up a seamless exchange. Once Altar of Dementia is brought into the mix, every iteration of sacrificing Lurrus grinds your opponents' libraries down to nothing while continuously feeding your death and enter-the-battlefield triggers.
