How it works

1. Cast Rancor by paying , attaching it to Immortal Phoenix.
2. When Rancor enters the battlefield, Composer of Spring triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Immortal Phoenix, adding .
4. When Immortal Phoenix dies, it and Rancor trigger.
5. Resolve the Rancor trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
6. Resolve the Immortal Phoenix trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
7. Resolve the Composer of Spring ability from step 2, putting Immortal Phoenix onto the battlefield from your hand.
8. Repeat.
