How it works

1. Cast Endless One by paying 0.
2. Endless One enters the battlefield and dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
3. Mortuary and Amareth trigger.
4. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Endless One on top of your library from your graveyard.
5. Resolve the Amareth trigger, causing you to reveal Endless One from the top of your library and put it into your hand.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the zero-cost casting of Endless One into a perpetual motion machine by exploiting how state-based actions and replacement effects interact. When you cast Endless One for zero, its lack of toughness sends it immediately to the graveyard, which dutifully triggers Mortuary to place the creature right back on top of your library. Meanwhile, Amareth, the Lustrous watches over the battlefield, using its passive trigger to spot that the freshly returned Endless One shares a card type with the permanent that just entered, allowing you to seamlessly draw it straight back into your hand. This cycle endlessly repeats to generate infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield effects, and storm count for formats like commander, legacy, oathbreaker, and vintage.
