How it works

1. Activate Blood Researcher using Spike Feeder's second ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, causing you to gain 2 life.
2. Blood Researcher triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop begins by using Agatha's Soul Cauldron to exile Spike Feeder, granting its activated abilities to your other creatures with +1/+1 counters on them—specifically Blood Researcher. Since Blood Researcher natively triggers to put a +1/+1 counter on itself whenever you gain life, you can repeatedly use the acquired Spike Feeder ability to remove a counter for 2 life, which immediately triggers Blood Researcher to replace the spent counter. This self-sustaining cycle generates infinite lifegain and endless life-trigger events, turning a modest vampire into an engine of eternal vitality.
