How it works

1. Activate Treebeard using Spike Feeder's second ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, causing you to gain 2 life.
2. Treebeard triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on itself.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Spike Feeder into an infinite life and counter engine by borrowing a trick from Treebeard, Gracious Host. Normally, Spike Feeder's ability costs a counter and just gives you life, but Treebeard transforms every point of that gained life into a flood of +1/+1 counters for your Halflings and Treefolk. Because Spike Feeder itself holds counters that it can strip away, it easily feeds its own growth and loops the life-gain indefinitely. Meanwhile, Agatha's Soul Cauldron sits on the battlefield ready to weaponize or supplement these counters and abilities across your board, ensuring that once this synergy starts, it spirals out of control.
