How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to your commander's ability granted to it by Master Chef.
3. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability, causing you to scry 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a graveyard into a revolving door by leveraging the power of persist creatures, which normally return with a -1/-1 counter that locks them out of doing it again. However, Master Chef steps in to alter the math, granting your commander an ability that ensures creatures enter with an additional +1/+1 counter—which immediately counterbalances and cancels out that pesky -1/-1 counter through state-based actions. With the counter problem solved, Viscera Seer provides the necessary outlet to endlessly sacrifice your looping creature, generating infinite death triggers and leaving you with a scry engine to shape your entire library.
