How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Bloodspore Thrinax
3. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
4. Repeat

This elegant loop relies on the interaction between a persist creature and Bloodspore Thrinax, whose passive ability ensures that any creature you control enters the battlefield with extra +1/+1 counters equal to those on the Thrinax itself. Because those incoming counters immediately neutralize the single -1/-1 counter that persist would normally apply, the creature returns to the battlefield unscathed time and time again. You can endlessly feed this cycle into Viscera Seer to churn through your deck with infinite scrys while generating an unceasing stream of sacrifices, leaves-the-battlefield, and entry triggers.
