How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Thunderblust
2. When Thunderblust dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Thunderblust enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Thunderblust
4. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Thunderblust's persistent nature into an endless engine of rebirth. Because Thunderblust enters the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter from its persist trigger, Stalwart Successor's triggered ability instantly spots the new counters as the first time they've been placed this turn, immediately dropping a +1/+1 counter onto the elemental. Since state-based actions naturally cancel out opposing +1/+1 and -1/+1 counters by removing one of each, Thunderblust is left with a clean slate and no counters at all, allowing it to be sacrificed to Viscera Seer over and over again to continually churn through your deck with infinite scrys while triggering endless deaths and enters-the-battlefield events.
