How it works

  1. Cast Animate Dead by paying 1B mana.
  2. When Animate Dead enters, it trigger, returning Angel of Indemnity from your graveyard to the battlefield and attaching Animate Dead to it.
  3. When Angel of Indemnity enters, it triggers, targeting Dance of the Dead.
  4. Holding priority, activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Angel of Indemnity.
  5. Resolve the Angel of Indemnity trigger, returning Dance of the Dead from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  6. When Dance of the Dead enters, it trigger, returning Angel of Indemnity from your graveyard to the battlefield and attaching Dance of the Dead to it.
  7. When Angel of Indemnity enters, it triggers, targeting Animate Dead.
  8. Holding priority, activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Angel of Indemnity.
  9. Resolve the Angel of Indemnity trigger, returning Animate Dead from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  10. Repeat from step 2.

This intricate loop relies on trading graveyard reanimation auras back and forth to endlessly trigger an ETB effect. You kick things off by using Animate Dead to pull Angel of Indemnity from your graveyard, whose entry trigger targets Dance of the Dead in your graveyard. Before that trigger resolves, you sacrifice the Angel using Viscera Seer's activated ability to send it right back to the yard, letting Dance of the Dead enter and pull the Angel back out. That fresh Angel of Indemnity entry then targets your original Animate Dead, allowing Viscera Seer to sacrifice the Angel once more so the cycle can repeat indefinitely, fueling infinite sacrifices, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, and endless scry 1s.
