How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Karmic Guide.
2. When Karmic Guide dies, Cauldron of Essence triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
3. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
4. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Junji.
5. When Junji dies, it and Cauldron of Essence trigger.
6. Resolve the Cauldron of Essence trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
7. Resolve the Junji trigger, returning Karmic Guide from your graveyard to the battlefield and causing you to lose 2 life.
8. When Karmic Guide enters, it triggers, returning Junji from your graveyard to the battlefield.
9. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
10. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Viscera Seer to cleanly feed creatures into the graveyard while manipulating the stack to recur them indefinitely. As Karmic Guide and Junji, the Midnight Sky continually trade places coming back from the graveyard, Cauldron of Essence turns each sacrifice and entry into a relentless drain of life from your opponents.
