How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Grazing Kelpie
2. When Grazing Kelpie dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Grazing Kelpie enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Grazing Kelpie
4. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Grazing Kelpie into an immortal engine by playing on the interaction between its persist ability and the triggered buff of Stalwart Successor. When you sacrifice Grazing Kelpie to Viscera Seer, persist brings it back with a -1/+1-counter-negating -1/-1 counter, but Stalwart Successor steps in to place a +1/+1 counter on it instead, as it's the first time counters have been put on that creature this turn. This state-based action neutralizes the -1/-1 counter completely, allowing you to sacrifice Grazing Kelpie to Viscera Seer over and over again to scour your library with infinite scry triggers while generating an endless stream of entries, exits, and sacrifices.
