How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Vein Ripper trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Vein Ripper trigger, causing you to gain 2 life and target opponent to lose 2 life.
5. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
6. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
7. Repeat.

This loop turns a simple sacrifice engine into a relentless life-drain machine by constantly recycling Golgari Thug through your library. You use Viscera Seer to sacrifice Golgari Thug, which triggers its own death ability to stack itself right back onto the top of your library while simultaneously fueling Vein Ripper to bleed your opponents dry and pad your life total. That lifegain is crucial because Gwenom, Remorseless lets you cast Golgari Thug directly from the top of your library by paying life equal to its mana value instead of its mana cost, feeding the creature right back into the sacrifice outlet to keep the cycle spinning infinitely.
