How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing it.
2. When Viscera Seer dies, Mortuary and Vein Ripper trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Viscera Seer from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Vein Ripper trigger, causing you to gain 2 life and target opponent to lose 2 life.
5. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
6. Cast Viscera Seer from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a modest goblin seer into an engine of relentless doom by exploiting the graveyard replacement effect of Mortuary. When you sacrifice Viscera Seer to its own activation, Mortuary immediately intercepts it from the graveyard and places it right back on top of your library. While Gwenom, Remorseless is on the battlefield, its ability lets you bypass normal resource restrictions to recast that very same Viscera Seer directly from the top of your library for a mere 1 life instead of its mana cost. Meanwhile, every iteration of this sacrifice cycle triggers Vein Ripper, draining your opponent's life total while padding your own life total to comfortably sustain Gwenom, Remorseless's alternative casting costs.
