How it works

1. Cause Orcish Vandal to become an artifact using Liquimetal Coating.
2. Activate Orcish Vandal by tapping it, dealing 2 damage to Smaug.
3. Smaug triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
4. Activate Clock of Omens by tapping the Treasures, untapping Orcish Vandal.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns Orcish Vandal into a self-sustaining engine by transforming it into an artifact with Liquimetal Coating, allowing it to safely ping Smaug the Impenetrable for two damage. Because Smaug is indestructible, it happily survives the blast and triggers to shower you with two Treasure tokens, which then immediately fuel Clock of Omens to untap your modified Orcish Vandal. By repeating this process, you generate an endless cascade of tapped Treasures and artifact enters-the-battlefield triggers to fuel whatever fiery victory you desire.
